From the eagle eyes at Organic Beauty View, here are results from a test at Rutgers that found four brands of mouisturizers were linked to a higher risk of cancer in mice. Let’s just get it out of the way: People are not mice, I know that. But mice are living beings, just like people, and things they do (think hunger, pregnancy, need to exercise, etc.) we also also do. Therefore, I don’t think it’s so far fetched that things that happen to them (think cancer) could also happen to us. I don’t trust inconclusive scientific testing by cosmetics companies or the notion that there’s “no proof yet” to keep me from using their product. I don’t want to risk cancer any more than I already am by breathing the air and eating produce from Safeway.
